Junior Achievment Hawaii - Powerful Influence in our Schools

Junior Achievement Hawaii is a powerful and positive influence in our Schools.  This Business in Hawaii interview with Reg Baker explains why.

Not only does JA Hawaii teach basic life skills about credit, savings and jobs, but they also allow students to experience how to start and manage a successful company.

For two years in a row, JA Hawaii has been selected to compete nationally for the best student company award (over 75 applied nationwide but only 10 were selected to compete).  Our JA students (one team from Farrington last year and one from Kaiser this year) traveled to Washington DC to compete against the best the US had to offer.  And they did very well!

It was a life changing experience for these students.  They met with our congressional delegation and was offered internships (contingent on them attending college), competed against mainland teams, beat most of them and placed in the top 5, proving that out students can compete and win against the best.

Please enjoy the interview and watch the passion come out for what Erin and Delle do for JA Hawaii.
